Avery Dennison names new vice president & general manager

Avery Dennison Corporation has announced that it named Jeroen Diderich to the role of vice president and general manager for Materials Group Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), effective January 1, 2017. Jeroen will replace Angelo Depietri, who will be retiring at the end of the year.

“Jeroen has a strong track record of driving for results, while staying close to our customers and translating their needs and aspirations into new products and services,” said Georges Gravanis, Materials Group president. “Jeroen’s experience, skill set and adaptability make him well prepared for this role and I am confident that he will continue to build on our strong business performance.”

Reporting to Georges Gravanis, Jeroen will be responsible for Avery Dennison’s Label and Packaging Materials and Graphics Solutions businesses in the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. He will focus on identifying new opportunities for value creation in the businesses’ various markets, building on Avery Dennison’s global scale, competencies and skills base to strengthen its position in the EMEA region, and on embracing new technologies and enabling their introduction across the value chain.

Currently global vice president for marketing of Materials Group, Jeroen joined Avery Dennison in 2003 as director, Supply Chain, and later served as vice president for Supply Chain and Operations, and vice president of Sales and Customer Service for Materials Group EMEA. Jeroen is a member of Avery Dennison’s Sustainability Council and a Trustee of the Avery Dennison Foundation. He studied Business Economics at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, and participated in executive development programs at International Institute for Management Development (IMD) and Wharton Business School.
